T. Gorman Reilly
Gorman Reilly is a long-time resident and community activist for Manhattan’s Upper East Side.  A lawyer, he served for seven years as Assistant United States Attorney, and later was a litigation partner with the law firm of Hahn & Hessen LLP. He continues his involvement in law practice as a mediator and arbitrator in affiliation with the United States District Court, The New York City Bar Association, New York County Lawyers Association, and the Civilian Complaint Review Board.
Gorman is an active member of his local neighborhood, having served on the Board of Directors for the East 86th Street Merchants/Residents Association and as Board President of CIVITAS for five years. He is currently Vice President and a member of the CIVITAS Executive Committee. In this work his main interests lie in transportation and streetscape issues. He continues his volunteer work as a high-school mentor, and a docent at the New York Public Library’s Main Building.
Gorman graduated from Fordham University and New York University Law School and served in the United States Navy as an Air Intelligence Officer. He lives with his wife Janice on the Upper East Side.
